I originally wrote this poem to go along with my story which is about halfway done. I already posted this about a month ago, but for some unknown reason, there was a glitch and it was deleted. Well, here it is again. Enjoy!
The Night of Nothing
She stared into the darkened sky
Searching dearly for her something.
No moon, no light, no stars passed by,
This was the night of nothing.
Clouds covered the world overhead,
Rain spilled silently unto the broken ground,
The cobblestones softer than any beggar’s bed
She lay on them, a solemn living mound.
Her blood, hotter than any piece of coal,
Her body trembled with her changing make.
She moved to curl, pain taking its toll
Humanity being the only thing at stake.
Somewhere beyond, a beastly growl
Worse than any horror the writers wrote.
Hunger was not known until now
A bottomless thirst tore at her throat.
Water dripped miserably on the shaking form
An hlavah she must now become
Her master waited for the coming storm
Then forever shall be eternally succumb.
The body turned chalky and deathly pale
Hair is streaked with shiny silver tips.
She cried a terrible despondent loud wail
A victory on the night of nothing’s lips.
